Seminar on latest concrete admixture products and technologies & the 2nd session of the 8th Executive Council of Concrete Admixture Branch of China Building Materials Federation was held August 19th-20th in Tengzhou, Shandong province. Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Tengzhou Municipal and Vice Mayor of Tengzhou Mr. Zou Meishuai, President of Concrete Admixture Branch of China Building Materials Federation Ms. Yao Yan, Secretary-General of the Branch Ms. Wang Ling, members of the Branch, relevant experts, representatives along with Levima staff, 150 participants in total, attended the seminar. As the only co-organizer of the event, Levima Advanced Materials reported on the company’s development and technological exchanges. By organizing the visit in its production base of Tengzhou, Levima has greatly enhanced its brand awareness and influence within the industry.

Overview of the seminar

According to Mr. Zou Meishuai, “Opening of the seminar has not only provided a communication platform that facilitates cooperation within companies in the industry, but has also injected new vitality to the regional development with local characteristics.” On the first day of seminar, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Tengzhou Municipal and Vice Mayor of Tengzhou added during his welcome speech, “I hope that this Seminar will serve as a link within the industry, enhancing friendship, deepening understanding, and helping to expand mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. Gather together in Tengzhou and get a mutually beneficial result!”

Afterwards, Ms. Yao Yan, President of Concrete Admixture Branch of China Building Materials Federation reported on industry development. She started with historical concrete admixture events for these two years. In accordance with the the 13th Five-Year Plan, she indicated that we should clarify our goals and strategy for the next stage, including the focus on security, environment, advanced technology, latest commercial pattern and international market.

Secretary-General of the Branch Ms. Wang Ling summarized annual work of the 8th Executive Council. According to Ms. Wang, the Council has accomplished multiple tasks for the past year: proper implementation of government policies in the aim of leading the industry; organization of various activities which benefited the industry; editing of scientific documents which promoted innovation within companies; construction of information platform thus improving work efficiency; membership management strengthening, setting an example for the industry as well as preparation of the 16th Congress.

Assistant President of Levima Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Levima Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Han Huilong, Deputy General Mangers Mr. Xu Chuan, Mr. Li Lei, Mr. Xie Xin, Mr. Cao Dexian as well as other operational staff were present at the conference. Mr. Xu Chuan gave a talk on the theme of “Serve the construction industry and share for a win-win: polycarboxylate monomer suppliers in rapid development.” He introduced in detail the history of Levima as well as the R&D, manufacturing and sales situation of company. Afterwards, Mr. Niu Feng, Research and Development Manager of Levima Research Institute reported under the theme of “Manufacturing and Application of early strength type & viscosity-reducing type polycarboxylate water reducer made by special polyether monomers”. Mr. Zhang Chengyun, HSE Department Manager of Levima Tengzhou Management Committee, provided a safety training before the visit in Tengzhou Production Base.

On the afternoon of August 19, all participants visited Tengzhou Production Base of Levima Advanced Materials. In the Control Center and the five main unit areas, they listened to the detailed presentation of Levima industrial layout, management concept, strategic planning, overall manufacturing & management level as well as the producing & researching ability of EOD segment, on which they have set a high value.
