The 13th National Congress of the China Federation of Industry and Commerce was held in Beijing on December 11-12. Zheng Yueming, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Levima Advanced Materials Corporation, was elected as a member of the 13th Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.

       Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening session and delivered a congratulatory speech on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. Hao Mingjin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic Construction Association of China, delivered a congratulatory speech on behalf of the Central Committee of the democratic parties. Jiang Guangping, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, delivered a congratulatory speech on behalf of the people's organizations.
