On January 11, the release ceremony of 2019 Top Ten News and Influential Figures in China Petroleum and Chemical Industry was held in Beijing. Zheng Yueming, Chairman of Levima Advanced Materials Corporation, won the title of 2019 Influential Figure in China Petroleum and Chemical Industry for his contribution and influence to the new chemical materials industry. Others also winning the award were Academician Liu Zhongmin, Director of Dalian Institute of Chemical Phisics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Academician Xie Kechang, former Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Qiao Xu, President of Nanjing University of Technology; Li Lei, President of Saudi Basic Industry Corporation for North Asia; Zhu Ji, President of Cabot Corporation for Asia Pacific, Li Hongan, Chairman of Shaanxi Blower Co., Ltd and others.

The whole ceremony was broadcast live and received extensive attention from people in the petroleum and chemical industries at home and abroad. Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 10th NPC, and Li Shousheng, President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecological Environment and other relevant ministries and departments, experts from trade associations, scientific research institutes and universities, heads of domestic and foreign chemical enterprises such as BASF, Cabot and Shaanxi Coal Group, and many media reporters such as Xinhua News Agency and People’s Daily attended the grand ceremony. At the ceremony, the host gave Chairman Zheng Yueming a speech of offering an award as the driver of the transformation of advanced materials innovation achievements: as the founder of Levima Advanced Materials, he led Levima to successfully realize the industrialized commercial operation of several sets of world-leading technologies from scratch, setting a record of shortest construction period and longest continuous operation time for similar devices, realizing import substitution for many developed products, leading the market in many sub-sectors and leading the industry in operation level. In January 2018, he initiated the establishment of the Advanced Materials Technology Innovation and Industrialization Alliance of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He creatively adopted the model of Alliance + Platform + Fund and 3+1 of the operation team to build a collaborative innovation system with deep integration of Government-Industry-University-Research-Finance-Service-Consumption, promoting the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements of advanced materials, and providing a model for innovation-driven development of Made in China.
