The Levima Innovation Building project was started yesterday afternoon in Science and Education Park of Changzhou, in Jiangsu province.Mr. Yan Li, Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Jiangsu Province; Mr. Zhu Linan, President of Legend Holdings Ltd.;Mr. Zheng Yueming, Chairman of Levima Advanced Materials; Mr. Zou Bo, Assistant President of Legend Holdings; Mr. Ding Chun, Mr. Xu Guanghui, Mr. Shi Zhijun as well as Mr. Pu Yuzhong, secretary of the Party Committee in University of Changzhou attended the inauguration.

According to Mr. Ding Chun, mayor of Changzhou, local government has set a high priority on fostering the development of advanced materials activity, a strategic emerging industry. The completion of Levima Innovation Building will offer high-quality technology and services for companies in the field of advanced materials in Changzhou in regards to innovation and development. Meanwhile, it could benefit from the brand influence of Legend Holdings as well as the brand appeal of Levima Group in the industry of advanced materials, attracting more high-tech companies and creative talents to build their career in Changzhou in the aim of creating an eco-circle of new materials and related industries. Local authorities will carry forward the spirit of “servant-leadership” in order to offer outstanding services and effective guarantee for the construction of Levima Innovation Building project. At the same time, Mr. Ding hoped that Legend Holdings and Levima Advanced Materials could invest in more quality projects in Changzhou in order to create a win-win outcome which will both boost companies’ performance and promote the prosperity of our city.

Early in September 2011, the “Joint R&D Center for Fine Chemicals of Legend Holdings-Changzhou University” has already been established and Levima (Jiangsu) Research Institute of Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. was set up later in October 2014. The start of Levima Innovation Building Block marks a new opening for the cooperation of these two parties.

Levima Innovation Building is located in the Science and Education Park of Changzhou (3rd construction phase) and has a total GLA of 48,000 aqm. The whole construction is L shaped with a main building on one side, linked via podiums. The element of chip which stands for high-tech and the Chinese emblem, a symbol of responsibility and credit have perfectly been combined by architects, thus creating a new architectural vocabulary.
